- I've been trying out the Microvitec DblPal monitor drivers recently posted to
- aminet (VideoDriv13.lha, orgin1438s.lha) on my M1438 using the border blank
- option of MCP1.10 as recommended (otherwise the screen goes black). I've tried
- various combinations of copying the overscan.prefs to envarc:sys and the
- DblPal.info to Devs:Monitors (I've also tried just copying the tooltypes to my
- original DblPal.info) and rebooting. The overscan.prefs seems to work OK, as
- if I try to set the screenmode to DblPal:HiResNoFlicker, it has 720x550 as
- default size, but the screen has the same borders as before except that now it
- is shifted to the left so that the left border covers the left inch or so of
- the actual workbench screen. Pal modes seem to work OK. I've tried booting in
- Pal:HiResLaced and then changing screenmode, booting with just DblPal in
- Devs:Monitors, booting with just Pal in Devs:Monitors and then double clicking
- on DBlPal, and I've tried switching off NewIcons. I'm going to try booting
- without running my Bootpic program and see if that makes any difference. Any
- suggestions gratefully received.

- P.S. My previous screenmode was DblPal:HiResNoFlicker 676x564 (max allowed by
- overscan prefs) with 8 colours (MagicWB palette).
